'After the Wave' - a small oil and  silver foiling on board, for the Kaf Spring Art Show opening in the Edinburgh Gallery at Bermuda Society of Arts tomorrow evening...Inspired in part by 'The Great Wave off off Kanagawa', and in part by my desire to develop a decent comic book style.

Various random sketches etc from the last month or so.
A random negative space painting (Jenn Garido was my inspiration here), a random asbstract, scratchboard and a quick life drawing.... working on something with foiling for the Spring Kaf Art Show.

Crow Girl etc

Cannot believe I have not posted any art since February...I've been very busy teaching, art and dance (we've just hosted examiner Lynne Hamilton for our third SDTA exam session) and the perfume's been keeping me busy to.

HOWEVER hubby and I went on a brief trip to Florida and the Bahamas and I managed to get to a shop and came away victorious with a beautiful Intuos tablet for drawing on my pc... I still have a long way to go till I'm proficient but I feel like I will get there that much faster now I have the right tools. This tablet makes my old one look and feel like a dinosaur...

So here's Crow Girl from my imagination to please you with ravens and crows flying out of her hair.

Gold Leaf Paintings on Copper Plates

I have been so busy teaching (art and dancing) recently that I haven't had much opportunity for art, more's the pity. Here's some offerings from before Christmas. I exhibited these in the Dockyard Gallery's Christmas show, 'Small Works'. The are oil paint and gold leaf painted on copper plates. I really enjoyed these and hope to make some landscapes with some silver leaf I have, when I have a moment!
